this morning, after breakfast, we drove to a spot where partner thought the trail might lead to this tunnel bridge. that man has an uncanny ability to gauge directions - i'd probably had gone to twilight zone to get here (or not!). the other side of the bridge is actually more attractive as there's a small bridge leading to it. the don river flows underneath the bridge, or perhaps a tributary to the don river.
as i took this, i noticed that i was standing right beside a dried up poison ivy plant. you can bet i got of out there as fast as i could. the parkway is to the left parallel to the path you see here and there's a wide sloping thicket between the trail and the parkway.
i definitely shall go back here in the spring or summer, perhaps with @northy, @k1w1 and @cathrinemitch but for sure partner is already talking about going back there when the foliage is in abundance.
thank you for your kind visits and comments; know that they are greatly appreciated.
Oh, yeah!!! Color....phewwww! I don't think you can do better than this in the springtime.....I love the fact that the rainbow really stands out against the snow.....I think when all the vegetation is out it will be competing with it.
