whatever happened to me? i grew old way before i became a child and i never ever believed the cinderella stories and i hated snow white's shrilly voice. and here i am at almost 62 and i am playing with pink carriages and fairy godmothers! i suppose that's what happens when you have a granddaughter who loves disney princesses!
little ivy jean wants me to get her a pair of glass slippers. i want to tell her there's no such thing, but apparently her cousin has one. i suppose when i gave her her singing elsa doll last Christmas, she started to think grandma vikki can make anything happen. and she doesn't like white glass slippers, but purple glass slippers! of course it doesn't help that whenever i pinch her ear and a $2 coin appears in my hand!
gorgeous fairy godmother, that one, isn't she?
thank you kindly for your visits and comments; know that they are truly appreciated.
Ha! I got it right!!! I might not have noticed if you hadn't sent me looking at her sweet face, but she really IS the grammy in the community! You're so cute with your collection of carriages! I have *stuff*...*Lots of Stuff*, but, except for the loan of your blue pumpkin, not a carriage to my name! I'm beginning to think I *need* more toys! (Ken simply can't understand what the pleasure is in seeing and holding these little trinkets!)
@Weezilou - there are only 2 carriages. they are actually pendants of what the vendor calls sweater necklaces. cheap craps from amazon.ca. thank you, louise.
Oh, you can make it happen, you know that!! You have so many tricks up your sleeve that those purple glass slippers will appear magically, and you will be her favorite grandma, forever!! Funny, I am not into fairy tales, either (much prefer the magic of mythology), but this is a very special shot....FAV!
@summerfield LOL...shouldn't have said as much! I'd never have guessed the way you photographed them here! I thought them to be about 4" tall and from a curio cabinet!
Granddaughters are for all the things you didn't get to do when you were little. I know you'll find those purple slippers because you're awesome! Fun shot!
Now who is that fairy godmother? She's very happy to twinkle her wand and make a glass slipper appear. You seem to look around you, photograph something beautifully then make up the story to fit! Love it!
