these two girls were comfortably ensconced on a ledge adjacent to the large highway traffic sign on the eastbound side of twelve-lane highway 401, one of the main city arteries. we passed by them on the way to the middle of the bridge to shoot yesterday's sunset. they were so into their conversation they barely looked at me as i took a couple of hasty shots at them. the boy was previously on the bridge, too, taking photos of the setting sun, then moved here to take timed shots of the busy highway. you can see part of the westbound traffic (blurred cars).
(and yes, francoise, the girls weren't holding their cellphones.)
huge thank you for your kind visits and comments and favs on yesterday's sunset photo as it found its way into the trending and popular pages. you guys are awesome!!
There does look a bit of grass here beside their ledge so perhaps they climbed down for a private talk! Fast cars and city views! The big city - glad I'm not there!
@steeler - yes, howard, i've come a long way and now do black and white quite often. i have more appreciation for it and most times set my camera on b&w just to see what details i get. aren't you proud? :-)
always enjoy shots like this, shows me a side of life i almost have forgotten - the big city. every once in a great while, i miss it. wonderful capture, Vikki, and agree, b&w does it justice.
