i resolved i would do my brisk walking without my camera - when i walk, i just walk; when i take photos, i just take photos. so what did i do this morning when i went for my long walk? yeah, you don't have to guess.
i remembered what one professional photographer i met a few months back said to me: the best time to take photographs is after sunrise until 7:30 in the morning. the shadows are soft, the light is perfect and the mind is fresh. so true.
then i realize i brought the wrong tripod and the camera's battery was fast discharging. dufus! i have to be the most inept photographer there is.
so the long brisk walk resumed with heavy camera in one hand and heavy tripod in another. had breakfast at the nearby tim horton's. walked home to find i forgot to bring my keys. had to wake up someone to let me in. he wasn't very happy.
thank you for your kind visits and comments; know that they are truly appreciated.
@dmcoile - no, i didn't go back, i just handheld the rest of the shots i took, with a bit of success. but it was a great exercise to have to brisk walk holding heavy stuff. beats going to a gym!
@bkbinthecity - no. no smelling of flowers for me. in fact i realized that i am quite reactive to irises. a week ago we were at the gardens and while taking photos of irises my hands felt itchy. by the time we were finished, both my hands were red and swollen so we went to a nearby tim hortons and i washed my hands with soap and hot water which helped tremendously. and it happened again when i was shooting this as there were other irises in front near me.
beautiful capture ........ at least the battery was in the camera and it had a card plus the tripod mount piece .... sometimes I'm such an air brain ...
This is really pretty!
