this card arrived in the mail on the 4th of january, when the apartment crisis was happening. it had been on the nightstand at the hotel all the time that i was there until this morning when i put it away in my suitcase. i have officially checked out of the hotel and will fly tonight to san francisco to meet up with my bff. we head out to manila via tokyo on thursday.

the note inside the card meant a lot to me, the thoughts and the prayers, and it gave me comfort every time. don't get me wrong, my guy had been very supportive and we were in constant touch but this card is something i can actually hold. i know every word written on it was sincere. one of the things that inspired me to finally let go of the old apartment, no matter that it is cheap and near two subway stops and lots of useful establishments around. it gave me the incentive to start life anew and leave all the negativity behind me.

thank you, my friend, for the card (you know who you are). let me also take this opportunity to thank you people who sent me holiday cards and calendars and email greetings (you know who you all are) as well as kind and supportive words during the crisis. they are so much appreciated.

thank you for your patience, your kind visits and your wonderful comments and favs during the last few weeks, i greatly appreciate them and feel guilty that i could hardly return the favour. but i am comforted by the fact that you understand.
I hope that 2016 will be a fabulous year for you! Wishing you a safe flight and an enjoyable time in Manila. A whole new chapter is ready to be written upon your return.

The written word means so much more than an electronic message, how lovely. Sounds like you are as good a friend to be as to have.

I was home sick yesterday and I'm sorry I missed you at work on your last day. Have a safe and joyful trip. I will send wishes that you are watched over and come home safely to your man. I know that when you return, everything will fall into place and all will be as it should. The Universe has great plans for you...just listen and you will hear, my friend. xoxo
