in the style of sirkka-liisa konttinen

shot of downtown skyline from the bedroom window. the building in the centre, rothmans, is about 1.2 kilometres from my apartment building, about a 15-minute leisurely walk. downtown at the top there is about 22 kilometres away, a good 20 - 30 minutes drive depending on whether you take the highway or the main streets, on normal traffic. the perspective looks so much different at night as it looks like downtown is nearby.

this is in the style of the featured artist in the currently running artist challenge, the artist being sirkka-liisa konttinen. http://365project.org/discuss/themes-competitions/28580/artist-challenge-sirkka-liisa-konttinen

ms. konttinen loves to take her landscapes from a high vantage point such as the "carville road at night" photograph that inspired the above: http://www.tate.org.uk/art/artworks/konttinen-carville-road-at-night-byker-p20435

This is most excellent! After looking at her inspirational shot I see how well you have done at emulating it with this image.

I hadn't looked at that one before - so thank you. I like you interpretation which shows a very different scene in a very similar way.
