à louer

to lease - the entire 40th floor, this is the building across from ours. many floors are vacant. what i don't understand is with all those talks about saving energy, carbon footprints, etc. etc., the unoccupied floors are all lit. and just for info, at any time, and that is plenty of times, that i would look at this and its sister building, i have never seen one "live" person working.

a last minute shot after the fundraising event i organized for this evening. it was a successful night, and of course, i got a lot of kudos. my feet hurt from standing all night, greeting guests, shaking hands (there were a few limp shakers, men, would you believe!) and i got a hug from the big kahuna of porter airlines (and according to the assistant, he never ever hugs anyone). no, this is not what i would do after i retire, i just wouldn't have the energy. i'm not really a people person, i'd much rather stay behind the curtains, i am more effective that way.

day two of my sooc posting for my get-pushed challenge posed by my partner this week, jackie @30pics4jackiesdiamond

it is interesting. One can imagine crime lords setting up temporary desks and bringing in hapless civilians to do their bidding

Interesting- it looks like it should be a bustling bastion of commerce- but so empty. Hmmm... maybe they're all working from home!
