the colours of Christmas

i used to love candy canes. to me it's one of the symbols of Christmas. there was one Christmas when my little boy was still a little boy when we decorated the Christmas tree with little bright red ribbons and real candy canes. it was the time i discovered and learned that ants would leave this stuff because they don't like anything that is minty.

I was sure I'd seen candy cane as a theme idea. Not so common in UK but I have found some. Can you tell me what BLD stands for so I'm going in the right direction!! Thanks :-)
