it's too damn cold but the sun was glorious so i dragged my butt downtown and found meself walking along the waterfront. oui, for someone who complained about the cold. but the waterfront is the only nice thing i could think of plus i wanted to have a beavertail pastry and hot chocolate!
after taking a few photos of a porter plane landing, i turned around and this was the view. remember this view, as i will do a follow up photo in the summer.
for week 10 of the 52-week challenge, this week we are required to tell a story using perspective. what's the story then? you know, beach, blue skies, sand, but no peeps, right that's because it's still winter.
okay, the picture is straight but the leaning building is throwing my perspective off!
Yes- the only clue to the temp IS the fact that there are no people in the picture! There's a name for the reason why the tower looks like it's leaning but I forget what it's called. Good shot!
I love that the tower is coming out of the middle of that umbrella. Beautiful light and shadows with no clue to the temperature except the lack of people
HI, I am your get pushed partner. I love your self portraits. My challenge to you is to create an image that through post processing is part color and part black and white... like this example. https://www.pinterest.com/pin/144537469262827077/
@30pics4jackiesdiamond - it can be plain or with some thingies in it. it's actually a dough flattened thinly like the shape of a beaver's tail (i call it edible maxi pads, to my friends' disgust, the sole purpose of my friendship) deep fried then rolled in cinnamon sugar. kinda like a doughnut only more tasty because of what they put in the dough. my favourite topping, when i'm in the mood for a topping, is apple and cinnamon, kinda like the apple strudel filling. but mostly i like it plain. some toppings they have - nutella and sprinkles; banana and peanut butter, and some other such that i pay no attention to because not really interested. when you come here, that's where i will bring you for dinner. :-P
@summerfield well off to Oz for big birthday in January, could fit in Canada in the summer (your winters look far too cold!!!!!!!). Glad I've not got your get-pushed challenge, I'm struggling with the basics on Ribbet!! Look forwards to what you present as it'llbe awesomely clever I'm sure!!!
Such neat perspective here - and yes, the building is out of kilter but I love the emptiness of the whole shot. (And the CN Tower coming out of the one umbrella)
