once again, i was plagued with the problem on how to continue the saturday portraits of me challenge with the current monthly challenge of half and half.
first there was the problem of the theme for the 52 portraits of me, which was 'victorian'. i've always associated lace, frills and roses with anything victorian. my lace blouses and dress can't pass for victorian so i had to outlay $12 for this dainty parasol made of lace. imagine on my way home, it was raining hard, i had an umbrella which i couldn't use because it is made of lace. i'd have looked so comedic if i tried to use it. :-D
then i took an old photo of this old restaurant that the ex-partner and i used to frequent. everything inside the house pertains to queen victoria and her reign.
entonces, although it's not a natural but a contrived half and half, i still fulfilled both challenges. it's ugly but what the hey. 👍
fitness challenge update: got back to #9 this morning due to yesterday's activities. but i did quite dismally today (although my final steps were still at 12,000 plus) as i didn't get out until well after lunchtime because of the rain and walking downtown was a piss off because there's just too many humans walking about. i don't know where they came from. hopefully it's a better day tomorrow.
All these challenges are really keeping you on your toes this month! Well done for coming up with a solution and now you have a dainty parasol for better weather!
