whizz by in a jiffy

i love panning shots and for me cyclists are the best subjects for panning. this was taken at the waterfront on my way back to the office after i took pictures of the giant rubber duckie. (see https://365project.org/summerfield/365-still/2017-06-04 )

for the weekly theme which is theme-fast.
Did you set these settings ... or use auto? Its so good - that blur and the focus. I can't seem to get it right!

@maggiemae - my camera was on aperture-priority setting, with the exposure set at 1/80. you need to have the exposure set at lower than 1/100. focus on your moving subject, press the shutter continuously whilst moving the camera as your subject moves while keeping it in focus. one of those shots will surely come out with the desired effect. best if you use a tripod although you can still get good results handheld. thank you, maggiemae.
