trust me, it's red. in fact, it's not just red red. it's poppy red. yes, that red.
when i started doing this photography thing, i was so aversed to black and white. my reasoning was that the world is made of various colours, why would we want to have a photo in black and white. but then, i realized later on (yes, after six years) that there are objects that look better in black and white, and then a little bit more later on (that's not a comparative, the 'more' is a modifier for 'bit' :-P) you can't just convert a coloured photo into black and white because everything depends on the lighting and how you capture it. like this looks horrible in black and white, it does! i processed it to give more contrast, but then it ended up looking like a second rate version of @northy 's and i thought it's bad enough that i have no shot for today, and i'm lazy to find something nice from the archives, and this is a hastily drummed up shot, not to mention i really didn't much give thought to composition, why would i want it to look like a second rate version?
so i posted this and as i type i look at it and it's ugly. the second rate version is really looking much better, but, too late!
I thought WE were the ones who would make the comments! Now if I tell you I like it, I'll feel you'll think I'm either just being nice of I lack good taste! ahha...actually, I think it's lovely, but then I don't have the other to which to compare it! : )
