the non-conformist by summerfield

the non-conformist

i do not know what these machines are but i would guess it's for lifting workers. construction has been going on to cover part of the train tracks (to the right, not visible here). i've taken photos of these thingamajiggs since last december and only that one machine facing north seems to be the only active one. the others never budged from their perches.

Brilliant title. It got me to stop and read what you wrote and then look more carefully at the image. Veeery Interesting.

Great title! All we have in North Texas is road construction. It’s crazy that all those other machines would sit idle for all those months. The railroad is paying for them I’m sure. They need to get to work!

Interesting. I showed it to Roland and he said they are probably waiting to be shipped somewhere. He said they look like the boom is made to striptease bark and make big into mulch. He said they are definitely all new machines. So from the mouth of my resident expert...it do I've learned is usually pretty accurate in this type thing.

I love your view down on them.

Cool pov- you must be up pretty high to get all of that in. There was a song on Sesame Street when my boys watched it back in the ancient days which was brought to mind by your title, "One of these things is not like the others..." Good shot!

spectacular POV! Why are they covering the tracks!?

Look like cherry-pickers to me, that is to say they're thingies to lift workers up high, just like you said.

I like the composition and repetition of different kinds of lines.
