it's some kind of a nut tree. no, not that nut, but the edible nut (well, the darn squirrels eat them, so it's edible).

don't the bark bits look like puzzle bits?

for the emma davies' 30 days of composition.

it amazes me that i still struggle with things like composition. of course if i spend long enough time to study the subject, it eventually comes to me. but the brain takes a lot of beating.

that said, check out five plus two's in your mind theme this week.
What does the word mean - other than what you put together! Yes they do look like jigsaw puzzle bits!

You certainly caught hold of that texture It is not a puzzle that I would like to have to complete.

I have seen trees like this before and the textures of it are very impressive. I’m too old to remember what kind of tree it is though! If I figure it out I’ll come back and tell you. It’s an interesting POV and I like your composition

Beautiful pov. It possibly is a type of oak tree. Squirrels love the most nuts (acorns). There are so many oak trees that I cannot identify. The leaves on this remind me of one that I have seen though. Smile. I do like the puzzle piece look of the bark.

I did read that if a tree produced acorns, it is an oak tree.

Yep, you could make a puzzle from that bark. Love your pov.

A great POV (almost makes me dizzy) and nice texture on the bark.
