it was our office's building' annual fire drill. which means as the floor's fire warden, i needed to inspect the vacated offices and/or lead the workers to safety. it was rather frustrating as in the previous years - no one wanted to participate. they all either went for a long coffee break at starbucks or left the office via the elevators just before the alarm sounded.
i walked down all 36 floors and by the time we got to our meeting place, the st. james cathedral, my legs felt like jelly afterwards, it was difficult to stand and wait for the cross walk as i thought i wouldn't be able to put one leg in front of the other. and now my legs are like dead weights. and oh, do they hurt. i managed to snap this though with my iPhone
hopefully i won't have to do this again next year as i hope to have been retired by then.
all that is to say that although i was only able to snap this with my iphone and didn't take any photos around the cathedral.
Glad you didn't have to walk UP the stairs too!
