leaving a part of me behind by summerfield

leaving a part of me behind

went to toronto's west end and did a photo walk with the northster. i found this at the beach, the blue of the feather a stark contrast to the dullness around. i don't have an idea what unfortunate bird the feather came from but this does not look random but rather a set up.

anyone knows what bird would have a feather like this?
I dont know your birds...but wondering if it could be a blue jay? Its a very beautiful feather

I think that is a Blue Jay feather. Don't know for sure, but really do not know of any other bird it could be.
The colour really brightens up the shot.

I agree. It definitely looks set up. Pretty blue feather to brighten the scene.

Definitely a Bluejay! It adds a nice pop of color to this interesting composition. Terrific snow scene

I also thought bluejay. The entire subject looks like a pile of bones (although it's probably wood) and the feather fits right in. Interesting find.

Even I thought a bluejay Vikki and I've only seen them a few times while in Canada. I guess to be fair they were coming up really close to me at my daughter's feeder. Nice find.
