waiting hall by summerfield

waiting hall

this is the concourse of the newly renovated union station, for the local train commuters. the other end of this was posted here https://365project.org/summerfield/365-again/2018-08-07 last year.

got a small window from sorting out some of our files and walked down across to the union station in search of in-door leading lines. the station has an exhibit as part of this month's black history celebration. i was going to trek up to the university of toronto campus, but i didn't feel very inspired to take the time -- i only like going there if i'm with the northster.
I took an indoor picture today too- but a very different environment! Good shot.

I do like the light at union station... hopefully we can get together for a trek next weekend?

The lights are definitely the star of this photo. A nice capture for sure. Glad to see northy has inspired you to perhaps go with her next weekend

Perfect lines in black and white.

Lots of interesting lines. Are the ceiling panels lights or skylights ?

well there is no mistaking this as a place of comings and goings. our leading lines do well in emphasising the length/depth of the hall.

I like the grid lighting in the ceiling and the rows of "stars". Nice candid shot of the concourse. Wonder why they don't put more benches in these places.

I like the sense of movement and all the lights and lines.
