i had been hankering for a piece of cake and i just can't seem to find the right one i like. last week i had a nice slice of banana chocolate chip cake -- it was good but it was not what my taste bud was looking for. so in the afternoon, before going home, i passed by the 'decadent dessert' shop and got a slice each of red velvet cake, carrot cake and this mini version of the caramel crunch.
i took pictures but they were better eaten than photographed. well, at least this and the red velvet. downed with a lot of water!
i can't wait till the northster and i go to the zoo then we can once again partake of the beaver tail! i know, i can easily go down the harbourfront and get me a beaver tail, but it's more enjoyable to partake it with a friend, ne'st-ce pas?
I’m glad @merrelyn asked because, I doubt there are truly beaver’s tails for sale at your zoo. Although my great grandmother used to cook things like that. My grandfather was a trapper first, then bought pelts from other trappers.

beaver tail is a kind of deep fried pastry shaped like a beaver's tail, rolled in sugar granules and can be eaten by itself or topped with jam or fruits or whatever one fancies. i shall try to find a photo in my archive and post it. or maybe that's a signal for me to walk down the harbourfront and indulge in one. :-D but it's not a real beaver's tail, just shaped like it. for reference see link https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BeaverTails
have fun at the zoo :)
Well done and a FAV!
