people in balconies

if you can believe it, i left my apartment at quarter to ten this morning, got to my destination by three buses 40 plus kilometres west at a little past one. my jeweler friend has moved her store from downtown toronto to the suburb of mississauga and i had to pick up my pearl necklace that she had to repair for me. coming back to the city was much quicker, just under an hour via a different route and different bus system. then i had to go way east and had my hair trimmed and it was six by the time i got back to my apartment. three different places and not once did i manage to take any photo, except when i was waiting for the bus three stops from my apartment building, and this was the shot i got -- from a building which backside i could see from my balcony. pathetic!

however, if the weather is still decent tomorrow after church, i shall go to the beaches proper and see what i can find.

i am totally totally out of inspiration and motivation. that said, i do like taking photos of people in bridges, balconies and walkways. maybe i should have a continuing series on that. or maybe it's time for the one weekly only.

Sorry about the missing phojo Vikki, but I do like the idea of photos of people on balconies, bridges etc.

Good heavens... what a long trek! People on balconies could turn into an interesting series... especially now that summer may actually arrive!

fun shot - and I like people on balconies too - that sounds like so much travel for so little gain

Oooh one week only!! Or did you mean you'd only take one a week only??

If you've got your pearls back, you could do a lovely white on white?!!

Hope Sunday is happier for you. X

I like this one Vikki. The yellow jumper and pink flowers contrast nicely with all of the blues and the straight lines :)

It was unwittingly nice of the guy to wear such a nice bright complementary color like yellow for your photo. Maybe if you look at the weekly SH*T list it will give you some motivating ideas. Or maybe if you can escape a full day of errands and just walk somewhere pretty/relaxing or wherever you are happiest, it will help get you remotivated.

I like all the lines and patterns in this one. Very clever of you to catch that little pop of yellow.

What a busy day but you managed a nice candid shot

Sometimes, I only manage to post snapshots. I suffer from lack of motivation often, so when I am someplace that I can take a number of shots, I used them over a period of days. My project, right?!

Sounds like a great idea for a series - I think people on bridges and balconies (and picnic tables) would work very well. Hope you get that motivation back soon. It leaves us all from time to time - sometimes for far too long! You were right to capture this - that pop of yellow breaking the patterns and colour of the building is just what was needed.
