whatever happened to the good old sugar dusted donuts that we dip in a warm, thick chocolate drink? all these fancy donuts with fancy names, paired off with daiquiris and other such cocktail drinks.

Yum, they look good , I bet they were all finished ... but I must admit I never eat donuts, the one I had once ( in the Netherlands) was too sweet but up to now I don’t know if that was the baker or the product... have to try them again in your country 😉
Well I never heard of dipping donuts in a hot chocolate drink before. I first came across different varieties of iced donuts on a visit to Texas some years ago. They were krispy kreme and my boys were taken out for breakfast to eat them. They thought they were in heaven. We have them here now. Your doughnuts look most irregular - as though they have been hand made. Doughnuts and cocktails is a new one on me too. It must be how the other half live!
