of the willis tower (formerly the sears tower) one of the tallest buildings in the states. this, of course, is a zoomed in view of the planetarium. the red X is where we were on tuesday, where we took the panoramic view of the chicago skyline http://365project.org/summerfield/365-again/2019-08-06
today, domenico @domenicododaro and his wife and i "braved" the hanging glass ledge of the building where you get a sweeping view of the city while 1,353 feet up. all hyped up, didn't even get my stomach to turn one bit, which would be normal when you step a glass floor and see below. one minute to stay on that ledge and that was all. but if you go around the floor, you get a fantastic view of the whole city and lake and on a good day you can probably see australia. kidding!
we had a little stroll around downtown and then went to have dinner at the house of blues where we listened to good music whilst enjoying good food. then another stroll around downtown up to navy pier for a little bit of night photography.
@summerfield Tante, Erica said she is taking the metra after work today. So she can give you a ride to my parents house if you want to head there today. If not, I can still meet you in the morning. I will text you her number.
You did such a great job of finding the details of where we were in the big picture of the entire city from your vantage point! You're also a great storyteller :)
