just one of the balls in my centerpiece for my dining table.
we had a good Christmas celebration. i had a teaspoon of rice with the bamboo shoot stew my niece made. then i had a slice of cake that was so light and not so sweet and a teaspoon of caramel flan. the self control even to me was unbelievable; in the olden times, like last year, i'd have stuffed myself until i could no longer breathe or until my stomach ached. now, when i tell you one teaspoon, it was probably less than that. i don't know what happened to the old me, but i'm liking it!
and i didn't realize until now that this camera is still in daylight savings time. oh, well, we'll be changing time again in about three months' time so i'll let it be.
So good to be able to get together with family for a nice dinner. Amazing self control! A teaspoon of rice. My god, I’d be impressed if you’d said tablespoon. We’re having my brother and his wife and daughter over for dinner and I doubt I’ll be able to do the same, though I don’t think I’ll eat myself silly. You’ve set a really high bar with your table decorations too. Great shot!
Love the POV and composition of your photo. I’m especially impressed with your restraint at the Christmas table! It would be difficult for me to do the same.
Happy Holidays to you -- I see that I have an envelope from you in the mail but our family always opens our cards together and my daughter and I won't have our holiday celebration until New Year's. I hope you are looking forward to 2022 as another good year for photography!
