what mess is this!

i tried to do the 2022 advent calendar from the de winton video that @monikozi had posted on the artsygang album. i only managed the first twelve. maybe i will do the remaining twelve before new year.

my problem was light, as i need bright sunshine to be able to see clearly what i'm doing. on days that there was bright sunshine, i had to do something else and then before i know it, it's gotten dark. then of course we had those stormy days. i tried painting at night but the lighting is just not sufficient. plus, there are other distractions, things i wanted to do or must do.

ah, excuses! excuses!

I love this too! They turned out wonderfully! I like the fountain pen, and the string of lights is very delicate. A good project for me when I don't know what to draw or paint....

We were in Canada in August/September and will be back again in June to meet a new grandchild!
