the storm has stopped for now but the winds are still gusting. i had taken down the air conditioning's tube from the window and it was no picnic doing that as i had to take out the thing from outside in the balcony. the wind was fierce and the cold was so nasty and unkind to my old bones. the neighbour poked his head on the railing and said 'you look like you need a man to do that, can i help?' i gave him a thank-you-but-no-thank-you response and i showed him how to rip the bloody thing like a man! bare-handed! 🤣 in that cold and wind, you understand.
everything's turning to ice and i'm not even sure i can or want to go out this afternoon for the church dinner and Christmas eve service. but if i don't i might surely finish off a week's supply of food before Christmas, and that's tomorrow!
so instead, i will go on doing my advent paintings and as a precaution i am posting this now instead of tonight or tomorrow (just in case we get a power outage which was being expected) so that i at least have a chance to greet you all happy holidays, and merry Christmas, joyeux Noël, fröhliche Weihnachten, buon Natale, felice Navidad, feliz Natal, and in the old country's native language, maligayang Pasko.
(and isn't it ironic that i'm wishing you all 'warmest wishes' when we are about to go into freezing here!)
Frohe Weihnachten, dearest one. Despite the cold in your part of the world, I wish you a warm and cosy Christmas and send all our love 🎄❤️☃️. And well done on that air con!
Beautiful bokeh. The same to you. We're in the same boat so to speak. Our Heilig Abend (to night) Get together has been cancelled for now. you see for years already we celebrate Christmas Eve at our son and family and I was looking forward to seeing our great-grandchildren who are there from Sarnia. maybe when the storm is over we can take a trip up.
Our storm has passed, thank goodness - Vancouver does not do well in snow. Yours sounds a great deal worse. I hope you get through it ok and enjoy a wonderful Christmas.
Warmest Christmas wishes to you too. Posting this comment Sunday night. I hope you you were able to go through with your plans, but if not, I know you are making the best choices for your health and safety.

Beautiful photo in its simplicity and wishes. Love the bokeh.
