this mural was on the wall right beside "the church of the holy name" (see https://365project.org/summerfield/365-still/2022-12-06) and i was quite taken by the perspective of the painting. while it is not an exact likeness of the church, it does convey the spirit of the neighbourhood on which the church sits. it is like looking at a scene which melds with the reality of the building on which it is painted on. and those damned pigeons had to be there.
this is for the final week of the 52 captures challenge which prompts us to combine as many of the year's themes as we like, a minimum of three. so this is a combination of the following themes: street photograph (week 2); red (week 6) and orange (week 15) as the colours in the trail lights in the mural are quite eye catching (at least to me); ordinary (week 10) for the building the mural is painted on; pictures in pictures (week 18); perspective (week 28); and, details (week 30). i could probably fit in a couple more themes but that would be stretching it.
