this afternoon, the fog that enveloped most of toronto lifted and the glorious sun showed itself. what did i do soon as i arrived home? dropped my stuff and headed back to the house where this birdcage hangs in its garden. most of the flowers are gone, but never mind. i just needed to get this shot in colour!
and thanks to sean @slang, whose photographs so easily convinced me to learn how to play around with picnik. i didn't want to mess up my photos so i just added the frame and i don't know what else i clicked but i liked the result. do you?
@cscecil - thanks, CS! although i seem to think i might have been in another place today because the backgrounds aren't the same. i thought i stood in exactly the same place as four days ago. that's interesting, isn't it? kinda make you go...hmmmmmmmm!
You did a great job with this one! Don't worry about messing up your shots in picnik because all you have to do is hit the Undo button at the top right of the screen. Feel free to play around with all your photos like this and you'll get the hang of it in no time! Have fun!
Wooooow, love the birdcage! I need that bird cage... I want that birdcage.
This is such a nice picture..it's thought evoking. As for "messing up" a picture.. you can always upload the picture directly to picnic and save a new copy to your hard drive before uploading here. Looks like you added a "vintage" frame w/ your other frame. Great "mistake"!!!
@jannkc - jan, it's quite fun and i like it for some shots but not all. i'd prefer adobe p/s but it's almost 300-some dollars and picnik is free :-) @celticmystyc - i love that birdcage, too. re picnik, was that vintage frame. i should remember that for next time. don't we just love those great mistakes! thanks so much.
