i was trying to zoom in on the budding leaves of this tree when i noticed the building in the background and i thought that would be a nice juxtaposition of nature's handiwork and man's. the tree is along front street and the building is a condo/office building called "1 yonge street" which is a full city block away. there were scattered clouds at lunchtime, but the northeast part was clear, hence the blue sky.
i played around with this photo with picnik but in the end i decided i'd sooc it today.
I absolute love juxtapositions like this...old/new...nature/man-made...and this is particularly good - great composition...the texture of the tree bark echoed by the texture of the windows on the building...the contrast of the dark tree and the pale building and the fact that they both stand out against that fabulous blue sky. stunning.
