"Here comes the sun. Doo-do-do-do!
Here comes the sun and I say, it's alright.
Little darling, xxx it feels like years since it's been here.
Here comes the sun..."
(Harrison, from the album Abbey Road, 1969)
this song is one of the most popular beatles songs and has been covered by various artists over the years. george harrison composed this song when he briefly quit the band and recorded it with paul mccartney and ringo starr (john lennon was recovering from a car accident at the time).

i was going to use a filler, one taken after the snow storm last february. as it had been cloudy the last few days in toronto, i thought i'd never get a shot of the sun for this post. but going home, the sky cleared and showed its beautiful blue and the sun shone brightly from the west. the patisserie at the corner of my street looked bright and cheery in its yellow and red colours especially with the sunlight hitting it. so, lucky me, i got the shot to go with the song. my building is the third one partially hidden by the trees.
update: sorry, i forgot to say that it was a toss up between "here comes the sun", "hello, goodbye" and "here there and everywhere". but i got inspired by carolyn sue's (@cscecil) posting of her awesome garage, so i chose this george harrison song for today. CS, if you noticed i was stalking your album before i posted :-) so, this one's for you! (hmmm that's another song, isn't it?)
one of my all-time favorite songs. love how you captured the light for this photo and not the way it is usually done at all for this song! wonderful, creative, ok, what other adjectives can i come up with. . .? all i need now is the sun to come out here! have a GREAT DAY!
@danig - been waiting for you, babe! they have a chocolatey cake called "exotic flower" mango mouse on top of a chocolate wafer cookie and wrapped in dark chocolate with thin decorated chocolate flat pieces around it. to die for, babe. to die for! sorry forgot to take a pic :-)
@catsmeowb - the sun came out late in the afternoon here yesterday. the sky was totally clear last night and was so tempted to do some moonshots outside of the building but bailed out on it. so this shot was taken when the sun was slowly setting but it is so beautiful i used it for this song. what are our talents doing here when we should be working for some big corporations earning big money for our uber creativity? you have a great day, too, camille and thank you for your comments. appreciate it much.
@danig - i should've said it properly: mango mouse on top of a chocolate wafer cookie and wrapped in dark chocolate and decorated with thin chocolate flat pieces around it and topped with a half orb of marbled chocolate. did i say it was to die for? okay, i will have to eat another one so i could take a picture. for you, babe, anything!
one of my favourite Beatles songs (which I had played at my wedding!) Harrison wrote in his autobriography " 'Here Comes the Sun' was written at the time when Apple was getting like school, where we had to go and be businessmen: 'Sign this' and 'sign that'. Anyway, it seems as if winter in England goes on forever, by the time spring comes you really deserve it. So one day I decided I was going to sag off Apple and I went over to Eric Clapton's house. The relief of not having to go see all those dopey accountants was wonderful, and I walked around the garden with one of Eric's acoustic guitars and wrote 'Here Comes the Sun' "
