"komm, gib mir deine hand" by the beatles by summerfield

"komm, gib mir deine hand" by the beatles

"In deinen Armen will ich glücklich Und froh
Das war noch nie bei einer anders einmal so
einmal so
einmal so
einmal so
komm gib mir deine hand."
(Lennon & McCartney with Nicholas and Helmer, from the album "Past Masters Volume 1", 1964)

this is the german version of the beatles' hit "I Wanna Hold Your Hand". roughly translated (roughly because my german is limited to "achtung, bitte" and "gute nacht" and "danke"):

"in your arms I am happy and glad
that will never be a difference
Come give me your hand"

i suppose the words are idiomatics. it is in salute to the group's fans in hamburg where they had their beginnings and initial followings before they became very, very famous.

sneak photo, or maybe it's not really a sneak. we were driving back after having breakfast at our favourite breakfast dig and i had set my camera to 'action shots' and just kept clicking at anything. i saw this father and daughter and dog tandem, and voila! i have my photo of the day.

thank you, ladies and gentlemen, for your comments yesterday. as you know, i am primarily here to find inspiration for my writing because most times i am stumped for inspiration. i have so many things to write about but sometimes, my pen is reluctant to write. yesterday's posting paved the way to a segment in my life that i've been putting off to write. while i find it easier to write about my father (those that i have heard about him from long ago, and what he had told me when i started to interview him several years back), i find it hard to write anything about my mother. or i am simply reluctant writing about her experiences. but that has changed now and my writing muse has decided to stay. so, if one of these days i don't post (did i hear cheering? joke!) it only means i am writing but would try to catch up. i want to see this project through to the final 365th photo without missing a day, and your kind comments and support are my inspiration to do just that. thank you, dear friends.
Nice candid action capture. I love your writing. Very creative to come up with the title in German

You are and always will be a writer, it's just that some days the words will rush forth and other days they'll trickle. I'm happy for you that yesterday was a good day for your writing career.

lovely illustration :-) and FYI, "I Want to Hold Your Hand" was one of two Beatles songs (along with "She Loves You" as "Sie Liebt Dich") to be later recorded in German, Odeon, the German arm of EMI (the parent company of the Beatles' record label, Parlophone Records) was convinced that the Beatles' records would not sell in Germany unless they were sung in German!
