"Hey Jude don't make it bad
Take a sad song and make it better
Remember to let her into your heart
Then you can start to make it better
Hey Jude don't be afraid
You were made to go out and get her
The minute you let her under your skin
Then you begin to make it better
And any time you feel the pain, Hey Jude, refrain
Don't carry the world upon your shoulders
For well you know that it's a fool who plays it cool
By making his world a little colder
Da da da da da..."
(McCartney, from the album "1", 2001 and "Past Masters Volume 2", 1968)
It was widely believed that Hey Jude was written by Paul McCartney for Julian Lennon, after he visited John Lennon's wife, Cynthia, and son Julian, after the Lennons separated. It spent nine weeks as number one in the United States—the longest run at the top of the American charts for a Beatles' single.

this one's for you, howard
@steeler!
took this picture today of a very tall young man. he's been riding his skate board and kept falling on his ass every time he tried to jump-flip the skateboard. he looked quite awkward because he is unusually tall (you can see here, his head was almost reaching the stop light), probably more than 6 feet, and large, not obese large as you can see but he's just a plain big tall man. and he's riding this little skate board.
at one point he passed me, flipped his board over a manhole cover and fell badly that it took him a long time to stand up. as i approached, he slowly stood up, looking quite embarrassed. i asked him, "you okay, jude?" when i meant to say "dude". but because the bloody song was in my head, i had said "jude". however, he answered yes and i think his ego was more hurt than his behind, especially that there were a number of pretty girls sitting at the park watching the passers-by. i told him to go forth and practice some more. he smiled and went ahead of me at the stop light, that's when i took this picture. i'm liking these sneaky shots!
@karenann - thank you, karenann.
@bkbinthecity - thank you.
@steeler - you're welcome. and thank you, too!
@altadc - thank you, alta.
@jannkc - thanks, jann. those artists are so high on their drugs they don't know whatever it was they're doing as long as they come up with a hit song. so many stories we hear but most of it is just the media hyping up things, for their own benefit.
@catsmeowb - thanks, camille. i took another one of a guy (big camera and all) i saw taking pictures of the sky before i saw this young man. i so wanted to ask him if he's on 365. i suppose a professional won't be taking a photo of the sky. he'd walk then would just click at anything. and there i was with my sneaky little point and shoot.
there's a big discussion on the discussion board about sneaky shots that i was reading the other night. interesting read. you should check it out.
