this is the weather we had at 6:45 this evening. as soon as i stepped inside our building, the rain really poured down.
i only shoot in manual with the lowest ISO when my subject is the moon. this time i wanted to take the oncoming storm clouds in manual, with low 400 ISO (in auto or other mode other than manual, the camera would switch to 800 ISO). this is the result. just a tad darker than it actually was. note the few drops of rain on the lens. (look at me blabbing ISO numbers like i know what i'm saying here hahahaha!) so you get treated to a crappy pic, although i kind of like the dark clouds eating up the afternoon sun.
should be an interesting one for tomorrow.
thank you for your visits and your comments. know that they are much appreciated and i assure you i'm trying darn hard to catch up on yours.
A fantastic catch ... hey girl, you know way more than you think you do. You captured the oncoming storm perfectly ... I can feel it approaching here. GREAT work.
Nice moody shot- I usually have my camera on 400. That was the film speed I used all the time and found the most versatile. Seems to apply to digital as well as I rarely use my flash.
I like this alot Summerfield. It has so much drama. It brings back a multitude of faded memories when your walking down the street, minding your own business, and the sky darkens behind you. The temp drops a few degrees, the wind kicks up, and everything gets that imposing silence. You don't wanna turn around, cause you know once you do, you'll get wet. So maybe if I keeeeeeeeeeeep walking....
