today, i found out how to take photos in black and white with the new camera, but i yet have to try it. i had a meeting at lunchtime so didn't have a chance to go out and take pics. after office, the sky was so dark i decided i would just go home and make do with what i shot yesterday.
triangle seem to figure in a lot of architecture designs and the st. lawrence market building is no exception. this is as much a landmark around here as any other old buildings in toronto. i go here at least twice a week.
how many triangles can you make out from this shot?
thank you, ladies and gents, for your views and kind comments; they are much appreciated. i shall now visit your albums. see you around.
Beautiful lines and textures, summerfield!! Love the lighting on this and the pov. I just noticed that there's a restaurant in there. Maybe you eat there alot ....and that's why you were there and got this photo?
@karenann - hey, how are you, girlfriend? long time no see/hear/read. i go to the market a lot to get pine nuts and almonds or to buy fruits. that restaurant caters mainly to meat eaters. if i eat at the market, there's a chinese restaurant at the bottom and or the seafood fastfood on the ground floor. but that restaurant you see here is a tradition in the downtown area. thank you, karenann.
Hi girlfriend!! Was almost ready to give up ... not one good photo for days!! And then finally today, I saw this. It's been a "bummer" week for me. I am hanging on, summerfield .... hanging on.
@myhrhelper - thank you, kathy. 13? hahaha! i gotta count again. how's your push shots doing? what am i asking you for, why don't i go over to your album. hehehe.
Haha, I looked at this pic again and found tons more!!! There really are many more triangles in this shot than you may have thought.
My push challenge is to do a street shot. I went out twice and there was no one around. Then after taking pictures between two brick buildings walks past a guy all full of tatoos and would have been a good one. Tomorrow evening is "Music on Main" so weather permitting I plan on getting some shots. If I can't get interesting characters perhaps I'll get a bunch of "why are you taking my picture" looks and make a collage out of them. lol
Well, it depends on whether you are counting actual, 3 clear and definite sided triangles or the suggestion of one as to how many are in there. But suffice it to say there's quite a few! Nice shot. Looks like you're well on your way to filling the week with them.
@myhrhelper - street shot! heck that's easy, but then again it depends on the criteria of that street shot. i put in my name for next week. and i'm nervous i might get pushed to the brink! hehe! thank you, kathy.
@olivetreeann - there are a lot of definite triangles, big ones, small ones, and all are three-sided. if you count the ones on the right roof, you'd definitely get more than 10. thank you, ann.
@steeler - i know, howard. i can't wait for the week to finish.
great capture and i am not even going to guess. late night, all the boys were here - jay was awarded his doctorate yesterday, big news!- i have big headache- too much too late at night. will be back.
@pamfromcalgary - only five? yay! thank you, pam.
@bkbinthecity - thank you, brian. there's more than five, of course.

@alia_801 - good girl! :-) thank you, alia.
@beba8162 - yes, if you include the roof, there's a lot. thank you, roberta.
@crickle1969 - thank you, chrystal.
