partner and i had some fun adventure tonight. he parked his car close, and i mean really close, to the wall and i had to stand one foot on the bumper of his car and my other foot on the ledge so i could shoot over the top of the grill and branches. at another part of the parking, he hoisted me so i could stand on a couple of iron rods supporting a pole so i could get shots of the fountains he liked.
but this one, we had to walk to the other side of the casino parking to get to a cross over bridge. this is the street leading to the light displays and to the boulevard where the falls lookouts were.
the american falls is the purple 'curtain' at the end, and above that is the skyline of niagara falls, new york. so there you go, two countries in one shot, eh?
Beautiful lighting and pov ... wonderful capture!! What a great team you and partner make. He's so much like my husband! I'd fall into a river, walk into moving traffic or back up and fall into a ditch if he wasn't around sometimes. We are lucky women, girlfriend. :)
Very nice. I took one years back from the other side, same time of year. This is really pretty. If you have a tragic accident while trying to get one of these great shots, please tell your partner to post it here for us to see what you were after.
@jannkc - hahaha! i always imagined that i'd fall down the gorge, hanging onto a frail branch and he calling to me "give me the camera!" and he's telling me to make sure the camera doesn't get wet. the crazy things he makes me do on photo shoots! thank you, jann.
@henrir - sometimes we gotta do what we gotta do! thank you, henri :-)
@eniaral - my only consolation is that partner makes sure everything is safe. like the iron rods were really thin, but he stood and jumped on them to assure me they were solid. thank you, laraine.
@lesip - no, i think he's thinking of possible photos to sell, then i don't have to drop those hints like 'all i want for Christmas is a 50 mm lens!' because then i can buy it myself. hahaha! thank you, leslie.
Very pretty! The last time we were there at night (and it wasn't so crazy with border crossing requirements) I had fun taking a shot of my feet in two countries at the same time. It was definitely not as nice as this shot!!
