well, what do you know? mr. winter snow showed up last night and this morning, dumping a foot of snow on toronto. we wanted this last monday and not here in toronto, in niaraga, for heaven's sakes!
i posted a photo of the east side of my apartment building, my 'front yard' if you will, in june: http://365project.org/summerfield/365/2012-06-15 you can appreciate the amount of snow we had by comparing this photo with the june photo.
in other news, three of my photographs are published. this is actually the second time my photos have been published, the first time being the 'movember' photo of the guys from work for an on-line newsletter.
Love your nice, "clean" snow and am jealous! I'm waiting patiently here to get some of that pretty stuff. I just went down a journey with your site here ... first back to your summer photo of the above "winter" one. Then on to your other site with your winning pics. @lesip - they saw us while i was photographing the lights at the park, trying all angles and whatever. the manager asked if i was a professional photographer. i was quite amused, mind you. i told them i'm a hobbyist. he told partner that he'd like to buy the photos for his newspaper. we exchanged business cards (whew! those little cards i printed came in real handy). i took my time so i could choose the best of the lot that i wanted to submit and they happened to like all three. i'm quite chuffed, really. thank you, leslie.
@olivetreeann - thank you, ann. i went around to take photos in colour but they all turned out in black and white! hahaha! so drab. i wasn't wearing proper boots (must go on the weekend and get a pair of snow boots) and i got tired of walking like a penguin so i only took a few shots and went home. partner's back to work so i was on my own.

@summerfield Well, you are smarter than I- I went out in my sneakers and pjs the other morning! Couldn't figure out why I was sooo cold, so quickly. lol
You are most welcome to keep your snow! I'm definitely a sun bunny and not too keen on the cold. Congrats on getting pictures published, really is a fantastic achievement :-)
I heard on the news here in England that the snow was heading your way. It's a lovely shot you have taken! Especially like the symmetry of the fence posts and their contrast against the white snow.
