on jupiter and mars
i have always dreamed of taking a shot like this. three times i came close, the closest of which was when the airplane came close to 'crossing' the face of the moon but veered off course and my camera, in my excitement, jammed.
so, ETSOOI is the next best thing. the moon shot was taken tonight, but the jet contrails from last week, and both were taken using point and shoot cameras. my dSLR's just won't take any good moon shots (or i don't know how to haha!). let me see: cropped both photos, inverted the airplane shot, used overlay in ribbet, black and white, extra black and white, hdr-ish, played with exposure about four times. i'm frustrated because i have taken better full moon pics than this one.
partner and i drove down to the beaches to see if i'd get good moon shots when there's not a lot of light from houses and posts. on our way back, we were stopped by a cop and he was given a ticket because his license plate was peeling off. tarnation!! and he said, it was all for me and my photography. now i owe him big time. hahaha!
Very cool processing. Would be absolute magic to get this for real! Not nice your man landed himself with a ticket. Maybe a trip to your local bakery will help with your payback!
Now aren't you so creative? You like to use song titles alot lately too. Is that a month long challenge or something? This is great and ETSOOI- wonderful!
@northy - darn right he will fight it. do you know that you can't even fight it without fixing first the darn plate so he's already out $175 for the plate alone and now to fight the $250 fine. government is getting to be ridiculous, of course not to mention that even if it is not a moving violation, the insurance will jump at that to raise the premiums. i told him next time someone buys a photo he can keep the proceeds. :-) thanks, kid.
