mad minute word friday - tarantism by summerfield

mad minute word friday - tarantism

it is "a mania characterized by an uncontrollable impulse to dance, especially as prevalent in southern Italy from the 15th to the 17th century, popularly attributed to the bite of the tarantula."

this bee was so giddy as a tarantist as it dove and frolicked on the echinecea flowers. perhaps because there were so many flowers and there were only two of them to partake of the lovely flowers and their offerings. or perhaps it was tired from all that pollinating task he had to do.
Very good choice of subject for the mad minute word. I love the orange middle of those flowers! Great photo.

This is a great representation of the word, the bee has a nice close-up and the colors are so vibrant. Would you be okay to pick the mad minute word for next Friday? (I don't know if it's my job to pick the next person or not.)

Nice shot of the little busy bee! I guess that must be where the tarantella dance name comes from too. Maybe that's what the bee is doing... :)
