Greater Spotted Woodpecker (Juvenile )
Taken in our garden at Kilsby 22nd June 2014.
I thought this was interesting because it's a juvenile which is beginning to lose it's red hat as it gets it's adult plumage.

Great photo and interesting info! I always enjoy watching woodpeckers; we don't have the Greater Spotted in my area.

What is it staring at? Something of great interest by the looks of it. Great shot.
