This picture was taken in the garden of the cottage in Dorset. I think the top one is a comma but I have no idea what the bottom one is. It's actually yellow but whenever it came to rest it closed it's wings so I never managed to get a good photo.
Great shot, The only yellow butterfly I know of is the male brimstone, gonepteryx rhamni), the female are greenish-white and can easily be mistaken for large whites. I tried to get a photo of these earlier this year but they never settled anywhere I could capture them
