When I walk round to the back of the house, very often a woodpecker flies off the birdfeeder and into a tree. I'm trying very hard to walk very quietly and have my camera ready so that I can get pictures of these beautiful birds in the natural setting of the tree. I haven't cropped this picture to bring the bird closer because I like the setting.
