We had a bit of sun this afternoon so I went into the garden with my camera. Most of the birds I saw flitting about were bluetits. I didn't mind because I haven't photographed one for a while.
I grew up in Montreal where once every year or two, we had white-out storms that lasted a day or more and, going outside in one, to walk any distance, meant risking getting totally disoriented and not knowing the way home.
Now, I live just outside Toronto, where we are more likely to get damaging ice storms than those real white out snow storms. I kind of miss all that snow, and the snow days that closed the schools, and opened up time for snow forts and giant snowball battles.
