The conference ended today and after last night's cancelled and then reinstated flight, and the delays today, it was great to be on the runway waiting to take off (even though that took awhile too). I had a window seat and caught one plane landing as we waited in line. Take a look a the ice on the ground -- this is the amount of ice that essentially shut down Dallas and the airport!

Ok, I went back to my Atlanta night skyline "bucket list" shot and remembered you had some items on your list. So your get-pushed challenge is to choose one of these three: water crown, something cool with a crystal ball or a clear bird in flight. I know it's near end of term--you might be pulling your hair out. Let me know if this is too open-ended. Just pick one!
@darylo What a great idea! I need to be careful what I write, though...good thing I only listed three things. Okay! I'm up for it -- we'll see what presents itself this week. I'll have yours for your by tomorrow. I'm thinking along the lines of using your new filter if you don't feel bored with it already.
@taffy I don't have a new filter! I think you are thinking of someone else? I have a macro clip, but I've had that since May. Otherwise, I don't have anything new!
@darylo Oh I misread your Silk Dam shot and saw ONS but thought ND filter! Duh...okay...will come up with something different. Unless you were planning to get an ND filter this week!!
What a great shot, Taffy! Excellent timing to catch the two planes together. I am sure you have had enough of airports and airplanes for a while. So glad you are home safely.
A great shot, very good timing! Love the tones. Glad you finally got home. I know that the last thing you want after a tiring conference, with less than favourable weather to boot, is such delays
Oh, you´ve managed to make the airport look so beautiful, the tones are so wonderful and very nice timing too, I like how that plane is placed on top of the other. Sorry for all the delays, the are always not nice, especially when concerned about flights
@pflaume Thanks Lisa. Now that I'm home and had a good night's sleep, I feel fine again. What a stressful day of travel though! I never thought I'd appreciate living in an area that's so prepared for ice and snow!
@mchartwig I laughed -- you are so right!! Even Dallas doesn't think Dallas should have ice, given how they don't have enough equipment for salting roads and clearing runways! So good to be home even though I'm watching snow coming down outside. Time to start a fire...
@olivetreeann It was really amazing to see the effect the ice storm had on them. Now we get to see how Chicago responds to our first snow! Thanks for the visit and comment, as always.
@jo13 Thanks Jo! Interesting that in Chicago last night we got about 4 inches of snow and today everything was running smoothly. It makes such a difference when it's weather a city has to deal with routinely!
