Happened on this gossip session while on our photowalk (@jyokota, @thirdjoe, @redy4et) with Junko, Joe, and Elizabeth. Between the surfers and the pelicans, I could have photographed on the pier forever, but it was only the prelude to our wonderful night under the peer. Thanks for your wonderful comments and favs for the shots on and around the pier -- so much appreciated! I hope you find these two as amusing as I did!

Oh, Taffy, this is an awesome shot! It's not every day you come upon a scene like this. Great focus on the Pelicans, and the color of the water is quite pretty. This makes me smile. :-)
What a brilliant capture! I just love pelicans but never seen one in the wild. They really look like they are telling each other jokes! Love the details of the birds and that beautiful backdrop! Huge Fav!
Fantastic clarity and focus β the eye of the big guy is amazing! Again, the touch of HDR looks super. These birds look so real it feels like I can reach out and touch them.
Hilarious capture and title! I got a shot of that same pelican with its mouth turned inside out- it actually looked weird and gross and wasn't a good shot-- so I didn't post it. Glad you got this one!
Totally hilarious, and perfect caption Taffy. I've seen a lot of good pelican shots, and some very good ones too, but this is definitely up there with the best in my book. I love a good sense of humour. Fav. Interesting piece of trivia: our pelicans are mostly white.
@woodlandsphotog Yes, they could have reached out and bitten us if they'd desired! They were very close. Signs everywhere warning that they bite and not to get to close. Being bitten by one of them would do serious damage, I suspect.
Wow this is amazing Taffy, love everything about it, clarity, dof, colour, comp...... It's like a poster for a new animated Disney film - and I mean that in a good way :)
This is so wonderful!!! Love the story that you captured, and definitely the attitude,.....it looks more like a quarreling couple to me, and just love it. Big FAV!
