Hi There! by taffy

Hi There!

Just for fun...bird meets plane. Had been thinking in terms of the theme, speed, and thinking when the landing pattern had flights over our deck, I could capture one. Today, there was also a gull overhead and I thought they might enjoy meeting one another (at least in my imagination).
Used D90 with crop sensor and 300mm zoom.
So creative! It's a bird. It's a plane! I like how you placed them almost at the same angles.

As long as they are not in the same altitude. I don't know what birds are thinking when they face such a huge noisy "bird". Nice shot.

We live under the Heathrow flight path (but a long way out) you're got me thinking ;)
Love the creativity of this...you might see see reindeer soon lol!

@pixiemac Oh, what fun! Tag me so I don't miss it, okay? We're about 35 miles from the airport so the planes are really high when they do go by, but with a zoom and some cropping, you can do a lot, I learned today! Good luck!

@elaine55 I have to admit I'm not getting anything else done except work -- 365 has taken over my reading time, cleaning time, laundry, visiting with non-photographer friends, movies, etc. Without kids at home and with a hubby who works a lot, I've been lucky but I know that when the year is up, I have to re-prioritize and let other parts of my life back in! This shot was a 'quickie' from my deck, combined in a collage and the seam cloned out, so at least yesterday, I kept things in check as I had so much work to catch up on.

@taffy That's what I was finding Taffy, I was neglecting other things too and then I found once I had left off taking photos for a couple of days then it was hard to get back into it. I think I am failing miserably in catching up and I now have the added pressure of an AGM on Thursday, Christmas Party Friday which i am organising, the packing for our trip, sorting out mine and my daughter's dietary requirements when we hit UK shores, plus making sure the house is clean and tidy before we go the early hours of Sunday morning. Oh well I am sure so many people on here are busy too.

@elaine55 I predict that as the holidays get closer, it will be all most of us can do just to post, and that commenting will get really hard. I'm hoping and assuming people will understand. Right after out Thanksgiving holiday on Thursday, I have a conference, then we're back to finals week, and then we're going on a vacation over break. I'm already trying to figure out how to keep up with 365 - and no solution seems realistic!

@vickisfotos @jyokota @olivetreeann Thanks Vicki, Junko, and Ann. That's exactly what I was going for -- but of course, these were two separate images to get the similar scale. I'm glad it "worked" from your perspective.
