Andie in the Sunburst, Sort Of

Here's Andie as we walked from one parking structure to the next, across the Chicago River, with gusts of wind up to 50 mph (according to the news tonight) and bright, bright sun. I was trying to capture both Andie and the sunburst -- in downloading, that purple line appeared. Since I couldn't get rid of it, I went with simplifying using a Topaz filter, and adding a little more light where Andie was standing. If only the purple light had pointed directly at her!

Here's Andie's photos from today, giving a much better perspective on how high we were at one point:

@ukandie1 -- sort of the star?

I like the purple ray of light and the sunburst. Being a wussy Calif. girl, I'd
probably not venture out in 50 mph winds. I salute you two!

Beautiful sunburst and lovely purple ray of light!! The sunshine sounds wonderful - the strong wind not so much!! I suppose you are used to the wind blowing off the Lake? Sounds like a good day out with Andie!!

Love the sunburst! We had incredible winds in Texas two days ago. It's hard to stay upright against it! Andie's standing tall!
