These Shells Will Be Famous! by taffy

These Shells Will Be Famous!

It was fun catching the photographers -- @michaelelliott and @jyokota -- at work in one of the fish markets of NYC's Chinatown. This is from yesterday's photowalk, on our way to the Manhattan Bridge.
Main album is of Grand Central Station: https://365project.org/taffy/365/2017-03-03
And turnaround is fair play - here's Junko's of Michael and me in the same area -- we were really into these shells! http://365project.org/jyokota/omake/2017-03-03
@michaelelliott -- where's your photo of 365-photobuddies ?

I love it when you are out with friends and you suddenly realise you are all taking the exact same photo! Nice candid!

@rookynook Probably...I think I had taken one and they had moved so I told them to hold still for a sec. Not posed, but sort of recreated. All happened within a second or two. Anyway, I think that was what happened in this shot (I know it happened once when I was shooting them shooting something - just can't remember which shot it was).

@louannwarren Haha! We were all traveling 'light' we thought! Only with a camera and one extra lens. Our backpacks also had hat, gloves, scarf...we weren't sure how cold it was going to get.

The food doesn't look so inviting in B&W but the people look good in their own poses!

Tom
Great capture of the the intensity of photographers at work

Using b&w really captures the concentration of the photographers.
March 4th, 2017
@taffy I wrongly assumed your backpack was full of lenses and filters and collapsible tripods! Ha!

@louannwarren Ah yes...that's the usual fare!

Interesting to see them both focusing on the seafood. I have M.E. associated with grand city-scape captures.
March 5th, 2017
That would be me too! Fun shot.

Do you know what happened to Michael? I use to follow him and admired his work. I know he sold his photos on his website. Maybe he outgrew the Project?

@skipt07 We haven't seen him in about 2 years. Junko and I try to go to NYC annually, but we haven't gotten dates together this year. That's when we've seen him. Last time we saw him, he was still good, still doing some photography.
