We had given up on catching the sunset and were heading back to our hotel when Jane spied the huge orange orb. By the time we were able to find a pull-over and get our equipment out, we only had a minute or so to capture the sunset. We stood next to each other and did our best.

It fascinates me that they are so similar, and yet each is unique despite being taken at the same time and in the same spot (and pretty much with the same goal).

this really benefits from having taken in so much of the surrounding context and giving that amazing circle of setting sun plenty of space and contrast. Wonderful.
