24 Hours Later

No need to comment, simply posting to show how the low temperatures continuing through the night froze a large portion of the Chicago River overnight. We're still seeing steam rising from the unfrozen sections. I wish it weren't so cold as I'd like to go over to see Lake Michigan which was described as looking 'like a cauldron.' 24 hours ago, the river looked like this: https://365project.org/taffy/365/2019-01-30
You are getting an interesting change of view from your window. I can only begin to imagine the temperatures that you are experiencing.

How fascinating to see the river like this. I think you are wise to stay indoors Taffy. From what we are seeing on the news it is really dangerous out there for more than 10 minutes!! Wonderful scenes for you from your condo!!

What a large mass of water to freeze overnight - mind boggling really. I hope these conditions don't last too long - we've been watching scenes of a city brought to a standstill. :)
