Today my sister and I found the cottage that our grandmother lived in back in the 1920s. Top is as it is now. Bottom right is as it was back then - and back then it was actually split into two separate dwellings.
It was wonderful as the current owner came out to talk to us about his house and he had a big folder of deeds etc, plus the photograph of the house back in the day, which he was more than happy to share with us.
How times have changed the cottage but still lots of memories. I expect the present occupier was really pleased with your interest and how lovely that they shared the photo.
