There were a few diggers and other bits of machinery at one end so I think work is being carried out (as funds allow) by the Lichfield Canal Trust. There were a few members there when we were, but they were just planting and watering things. This particular section is very narrow as it is a lock. Further along the channel widens considerably.
@tinley23 I looked on line and very slowly they're rebuilding, and have an aquaduct, not connected yet, over the M6 Toll so I passed under that the other day on my way home from a canal holiday!!
