We picked up Margaret's God-daughter and her partner from the airport at Dinard and spent the day in the old town of Dinan. The chilly wind kept most visitors away which made photographing this very picturesque town much easier.
Excellent shot as always, I always loved rambling through streets like this - over here they seem intent on tearing down old building (not that any of ours are quite so old) under the guise of "earthquake strengthening". We're slowly losing what small amount of heritage we have left in favour of glass, steel and, as the enterprise is usually run by our noble city council, an awful lot of beige on beige.
I was there a long time ago heading for Cherburg I think, Struck me as a place I would like to have had more time.....love the way history is treasured and preserved in France...
